Arthur fumbled around with the toaster some more, as it hadn’t occured to him that he needed electricity to keep the contraption working. Entering the common room with an exhausted “Flobberworm mucus”, he soon became buffetted by the numerous lower year students, who’s boundless energy still surprised their older peer.

“Y-you know, you could all just form a line, like civilised human beings!”

As he shouted he saw Molly, sat over near the fireplace with her knitting, and smiling straight at him. Though he didn’t hear what she said over the shouting, he did know exactly what she wanted - her body language told him that much. Forcing his way awkwardly through the crowd, he eventually found himself scrunched up in the corner of the couch, toaster lay on a nearby table.

“H-hi Molls.” He blushed, allowing his Gryffindor scarf to spare his red face.

Molly chuckled slightly as Arthur nervously shouted at the younger students. Not because it was funny, but because she thought it was cute the way he shouted at them. He wasn’t rude about it, like most older students would be. Molly turned her face slightly to hide her blushing face a bit before turning back to see Arthur making his way towards her.

As the boy got closer, she finally got a look at what he’d been carrying with him. Molly furrowed her brow and gave both the object and Arthur a curious look. “Hello there, Arthur,” she replied a bit shyly. “Lovely to see you after Holiday. How was yours?” Molly gave him a warm smile and set her knitting down on her lap, giving him her full attention.

@Arthur

Holiday had come and gone at the Prewett household and it was time to come back to Hogwarts. Although Molly had plenty of acquaintances, there was no one really that she had a close relationship to other than her brothers. And well, one other person. There was a boy she’d been friendly with since her first year. His name was Arthur. He was awkward and shy and frequently blushed when she spoke to him. Molly thought he was quite adorable but always assumed he was just a friend. Her brothers had teased her all Holiday because she’d owled him back and forth but she paid them no mind. Arthur was perfectly wonderful to her.

A week into classes and she’d hardly spoken to anyone, including Arthur. Molly had spent her free period in the common room, knitting and keeping to herself. As she stopped for a moment, sipping on her tea she looked up and spotted Arthur and felt her stomach do a funny little flip. She quickly set her cup down and waved at Arthur, smiling widely at him. He had a funny looking object in her hand. Something muggle related, no doubt. He was ever fascinated in them, which Molly admired very much. “Hello there, Arthur!” Molly hoped he would stop and say hello for a moment and scooted over on the couch, making room for him as she beckoned him over.

Alice entered the Gryffindor common room and looked around quickly. She sighed with relief when she didn’t see Frank anywhere, but spied Molly sitting by the fire with a book. She walked quickly over to her and smiled. “Molly, I was wondering if I could speak with you for just a moment. It’s about Frank Longbottom.”

Since coming back from Holiday, Molly hardly had spoken to anyone. She’d been spending most of her time knitting, reading and catching up on the already piling up work she had. But most of the time she was sitting in the common room, she was keeping her eye open for a certain fellow red-head wandering around. Every now and again she would glance up just to see if he was around. After a while, she glanced back up only to see Alice and grinned widely. She stood up and embraced her. “Alice dear! Of course, come join me!” Molly sat back down and picked up her knitting, setting it in her lap. “Now, what is it you needed to discuss with me?”

Hi guys I can’t wait to talk to you all!

“What are you doing out here this early, Mols?”
“I could ask you two the same thing.”
“We’re just—”
“Planning something wicked?”
“I was going to say ‘watching the sunrise and appreciating the wonderful view that the Astronomy Tower offers.’”
“Honestly, Molly. How can you accuse your amazingly kind and innocent older brothers such a thing?”
“You wound us, Mols. You wound us very deeply.”
